Position #005 - FY24 Summer Intern

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual interested in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry and Sustainable Technology to support and help build our prototype products in Summer 2024. You will work with technical and cross-functional teams to synthesize and test catalysts to meet and exceed their prototype goals.

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory testing to determine properties of materials.

  • Accurately record experimental information and results in a formal laboratory notebook.

  • Perform distillation and liquid-liquid extraction in experimental systems.

  • Use basic building tools such as wrenches to help install and construct our laboratory.

  • Run analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatography to analyze materials.

  • Follow and develop step by step procedures to synthesize and scale various inorganic materials.

  • Document experimental protocols for reliable data acquisition.

  • Follow proper workplace safety during laboratory activities.

  • Generate presentation quality documents to illustrate work completed.
